How It Started

In 2023 I was diagnosed with Autism, and all the eccentricities that comes with being on the Spectrum. As such, I found the stereoypical corporate environment challenging to say the least. I officially resigned from my last corporate job at the end of 2022. My depression was at it’s peak. Frustrated, I ventured inwardly to find answers.

Upon a friend’s recommendation, I explored the potential of psilocybin to aid me in this quest, and as a result, I reignited my passion for hiking and connecting with nature. This rekindled interest led me to venture into the woods to forage for mushrooms. As I delved into the intricacies of foraging, I became increasingly inspired to delve deeper into the realm of mushroom cultivation.

Drawing upon my accumulated 20+ years of experience in various diverse fields, I discovered that I possessed the ideal foundation to refine my mushroom cultivation skills. I found myself captivated by the nuances of laboratory work, the art of creating new phenotypes, cross-breeding strains, and innovating more efficient and effective methods for cultivating mushrooms to the highest possible standards.

My greatest inspiration comes from my family, which includes my wife, a professional chef, and my two sons, aged 4 and 8, both of whom are also on the spectrum. They share my passion for all things related to mycology, and they actively contribute to different facets of the Mushroombosch venture.

At Mushroombosch, we endeavour to provide the finest mycology supplies and information, from my family, to yours.
